The two weekends of 6th-14th February saw a huge influx of guitarists and their supporters to Bognor Regis. The guitar section of the Chichester Festival of Music, Dance and Speech was held at The Regis School of Music
The recent West Sussex Guitar Festival, held over two weekends at The Regis School of Music, Sudley Road, Bognor Regis has been a resounding success. There were 126 entries for the under 18 classes and 59 entries for the senior sections. However, when it is considered that there were many classes for duets and ensembles, there were a very large number of participants indeed.
The West Sussex Guitar Club in association with West Dean College is proud to announce that the tenth West Sussex Guitar Festival will again feature the WSGF West Dean Scholarship Competition.
Why do you play guitar? Yes you... Because you like playing it? Of course. But supposed you played bassoon. Would you play it furiously at home and then once a month meet with other bassoon players and play bassoon to teach other?
As you may know David & Alison have spent several hundred hours cataloguing the library and entering it onto computer.
The above course has now started. It takes place in the Ensemble Room at the Recital Hall on Monday evenings from 6:00-6:45pm.
Yet another record number of entries were achieved for the guitar section of the Chichester Festival of Music held in February 2009. There were a total of 146 entries in 28 classes for the under 18s and 70 entries in 13 classes for the over 18s.

This year, HAGO, the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra, is 10 years old! We've become a mixed ability group that specialises in playing music not normally heard on guitar, something made a little easier because like a string quartet we have 4 sizes of instrument.
